The short version: Fingerprint images and the biometric templates derived from them are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We only handle the account and billing information needed to run your subscription and, for free users, to show ads.

1. Who we are

This app, “Finger Print Analyser” (the “App”), is provided by ByteBreach Investigations (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@bytebreachinvestigations.com.

2. Fingerprint & case data (stays on your device)

Images you upload or capture, the extracted fingerprint templates (minutiae), your reference database of enrolled persons, search history, and exported reports are stored locally on your device only.
We do not transmit, collect, or have access to this data. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage deletes it permanently.
Exported PDF reports are encrypted with a password you choose (your case name). You are responsible for how you share them.

3. Account information (stored on our server)

To create an account we collect: your name, email address, account type (Government or Private), department name (for Government accounts), and a securely hashed password. For sign-in security we also log IP address, device user-agent, and security events (e.g. failed logins).

4. Subscriptions & usage

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; we receive a purchase token and subscription status, not your card details.
We record search counts and your subscription state to enforce the free allowance and ad-free entitlement.

5. Advertising

Free-tier users are shown ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect and process device identifiers and ad-interaction data under its own policies. See Google’s advertising policy. Ad-free subscribers are shown no ads. You can reset or limit ad personalisation in your device settings (Google › Ads).

6. How we use information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To operate subscriptions, the free-search allowance, and ads.
To detect and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to run the service: our hosting provider (Hostinger), Google Play (billing) and Google AdMob (ads for free users). We may disclose information if required by law.

8. Retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Account › Delete Account in the App, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, sign-in tokens, and subscription records; anonymised transaction totals may be retained for tax/accounting. See our Account & Data Deletion page.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed (bcrypt), traffic is served over HTTPS, admin access is protected by two-factor (email OTP), and we monitor for suspicious activity. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

10. Children

The App is a professional forensic tool and is not directed to children under 18.

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
